Promise to myself!!

I had heard of promise rings that people buy for themselves or their loved ones bought for them but never have I went out on a limb to buy myself one. This changed when I came across a ring and it literally spoke to my heart. I am not really the type of person that shops all the time and loves everything I come across, so I knew that making this purchase was in my purpose. It was something that God and myself wanted for me.

I am going to tell you all how I knew it was apart of my path to get this ring. I had just saw in my notifications on Instagram, that a profile had liked one of my pictures. I took the time to check them out, which I usually don't do as often and the first thing that I saw was the ring pictured below. Right then and there I knew that that ring was meant for me to make a promise to myself.

I was not sure which had to put it on because I mean I wouldn't want an eligible King to think I am not an eligible Queen. Then, again I felt as if placing it on my actual ring finger would really make it a deeper promise. I think the placement of the ring also had to do with the ring I had on my middle finger since like forever. I finally ended up with the ring on my right hand ring finger, and I just took off the middle finger ring and placed it on my chain. It took meant a lot to me so I couldn't just toss it to the side.

My promise it to honor myself as a Queen, to ALWAYS love me first and to remind me that I deserve nothing but a King. I will follow my dreams to becoming successful, and remind all other Queens that they are indeed one. This is to growth, love, happiness, abundance and good fortune.

Home for the Holidays

I always have this vision of what my future home will look like and I love sharing it with you all. Don't worry I am currently addicted to HGTV so no need to worry about that. Haha. Being that it is the holidays, and I finally have time to sit down and think about things other than getting through the semester(by the way I am half way through my college career...AMEN), I was just thinking about how amazing I think real trees are and how damn good they smell. The thought then pops into my head...

My future home, with a huge real tree. The aroma of the mixture of the pine and delicious foods flowing throughout the house, as my husband, children, and I sit sipping hot cocoa in front of the fireplace, awaiting Santa's arrival. Yea, I got this all planned. Check out my vision below...Enjoy!

Just sit

As I learn more and more about the traditional methods of meditation I understand more of the concept of just sitting. It has caused me to be a lot more mindful in most of what I do. Though, I have not mastered the art of just sitting I can say I am much closer to becoming more at peace; to becoming the Queen I am.

While on a visit to the Target First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum yesterday, I came across these pieces and I had to share with you all. I immediately fell in love.

The way art speaks to me and says so many things is just amazing. I have been thinking I need to find a way to get some kind of museum membership. Hmmmm, maybe.
As well I would like to invite you to become one with yourself and follow the methods of just sitting. How you may ask... Find a quiet place, a pillow and just sit. Focus on your breath and each part of your body. Try your best to not let wandering thoughts enter, though if they should, do not reject them. Allow them to come, acknowledge it is there, and continue focusing on your breathing. The thoughts will then go away on their own.

Become Mindful!
Have you meditated?
Will you practice just sitting?

New Burn!! Yum

So I recently received this product and when I tell you....I fell in love!!
OMG!

The past summer, I was in search of a fairly priced candle that smelled good so I bought some cheap, sort of generic brands. They were not terrible but they just cannot compare. This blew me out of this world. Another thing that was surprising about this candle was that it was pumpkin; I have never been one of those people that liked pumpkin flavored or scented things.
I decided, I wouldn't judge a candle by its scent(LOL), so I lit this up and when I tell you I just couldn't get enough. Sitting here typing I am thinking about how GREAT it smells.

Yummy Pumpkin Cupcake!!
Take a whiff!

I will definitely be purchasing a candle from Bath and Body Works in the future. As well it will be on my Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year/Valentine's Day/Birthday/Just because list. HAH

If you have not tried out one of these glasses of sweet goodness I advise you to go out and get yourself one, two, three, or even ten. Oh, and don't forget to put it on your holiday lists.

Have you reset your life?

I recently spoke about joining KimberlyLuxe and friends on a 3 month journey to self. It came at no better time, as I was dealing with a whole bunch of crap and was just in need of a reset. I am not going to lie I procrastinated for a while about actually starting, then my inner self spoke up. I think it was meant for me to do it. Along the months the journey for me has been a great one. I have been able to dig deeper into me and it feels good. Along with my meditation and improving my being I feel almost invincible. Why? Because I have been learning about myself on a deeper aspect and I am loving every moment of it and myself.

If you have not heard of it or where procrastinating too, you can still reset. Head over to KimberlyLuxe.com and start your journey. Your mind, body and soul will truly thank you. I promise, live that queen in you.

It is real!!!

I'm convinced love is really out there. Though, I wish to find love, I will let it find me. When God is ready for me to receive the blessing of this kind of love I will receive it. I'm on my journey...

Watching these videos did it for me; OMG! After watching them I was truly convinced that love is real and it is out there. These two videos stood out to me because 1) my dream wedding is a destination wedding, I love my trini's dem and 2) the natural hair all in the video, plus it made me teary eyed.
