New Burn!! Yum

So I recently received this product and when I tell you....I fell in love!!
OMG!

The past summer, I was in search of a fairly priced candle that smelled good so I bought some cheap, sort of generic brands. They were not terrible but they just cannot compare. This blew me out of this world. Another thing that was surprising about this candle was that it was pumpkin; I have never been one of those people that liked pumpkin flavored or scented things.
I decided, I wouldn't judge a candle by its scent(LOL), so I lit this up and when I tell you I just couldn't get enough. Sitting here typing I am thinking about how GREAT it smells.

Yummy Pumpkin Cupcake!!
Take a whiff!

I will definitely be purchasing a candle from Bath and Body Works in the future. As well it will be on my Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year/Valentine's Day/Birthday/Just because list. HAH

If you have not tried out one of these glasses of sweet goodness I advise you to go out and get yourself one, two, three, or even ten. Oh, and don't forget to put it on your holiday lists.

Have you reset your life?

I recently spoke about joining KimberlyLuxe and friends on a 3 month journey to self. It came at no better time, as I was dealing with a whole bunch of crap and was just in need of a reset. I am not going to lie I procrastinated for a while about actually starting, then my inner self spoke up. I think it was meant for me to do it. Along the months the journey for me has been a great one. I have been able to dig deeper into me and it feels good. Along with my meditation and improving my being I feel almost invincible. Why? Because I have been learning about myself on a deeper aspect and I am loving every moment of it and myself.

If you have not heard of it or where procrastinating too, you can still reset. Head over to KimberlyLuxe.com and start your journey. Your mind, body and soul will truly thank you. I promise, live that queen in you.

Kindness Challenge Day 1

Earlier this evening I received my email for day 1 of the Kindness Challenge over at PersonalExcellence.co. (I actually was confused as to why I got the email so early and it wasn't Nov. 1, then I remember that Personal Excellence is being run over in Singapore...DUH).

My first thoughts on Day 1: How the heck am I supposed to do that? I'm really not a hugger for one and I probably won't be able to see many people because of Hurricane Sandy.

What I actually did: I went to the people in my home and gave them hugs...except for one(She was on the phone; I still have time)

Their response: They both pushed me away like what the hell are you doing but didn't say anything...I proceeded to hug them.

My Response: I really didn't know how I was going to do it because I knew they would have the reaction they did. Though. I took notice how they responded and still supplied them with my kindness. It felt very rewarding, like I was almost comforting them and taking away some of their worries. I am going to find ways to hug a couple more people before day 1 is over.

You can still join...do it like yesterday before it's too late

Cozy thoughts

While sipping my tea last night, I must admit my scatter brain got the best of me. I stuck to sipping my tea mindfully for a good while then my thoughts began to wander.

I began to picture myself in my future home, sipping my tea, with a good book beside me, on my window seat. I often see this visualization every now and then, and it puts my mind into focus. I've just gotta have that quaint little window seat, alongside some amazing view.

Check out some pics of my future cozy corner...

First morning

Goodmorning Beautiful Queens & Kings!

First I have to share a small bit of the devotional I read in my YouVersion Bible app.

"Everyone has gone through seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During those times, it’s easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you received a bad medical report, or maybe you’re facing a financial obstacle. But the more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind. Instead, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say, “No, I am not going to give life to that defeat. I am not going to speak sickness over myself. I’m not going to speak lack. I’m not going to speak fear. I’m choosing a different report. I believe the report of the Lord which says I am blessed. I am favored. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am whole. I’m a victor, not a victim.”

Bring positive thoughts into your life. If you feed negative energy it will prosper. That negative energy will consume your body and lead you into excessive negativity. In those thoughts, do no grasp them, but also do not reject them. "No Grasping, No Rejecting." Accept that the negative energy is there, let it drift away, as it drifts, speak to your God to help you receive and increase positive thought energy.

Tea time

Mindfulness while making tea

Prepare a pot of tea to serve to guest or to drink by yourself. Do each movement slowly, in mindfulness. Do not let one detail of your movements go by without being mindful of it. Know that your hand lifts the pot by its handle. Know that your are pouring the fragrant warm tea into the cup. Follow each step in mindfulness. Breathe gently and more deeply than usual. Take hold of your breath if your mind strays.

via Thich Nhat Hanh

Once we have poured our tea we have to move toward the next step, which is the mindful sipping. As you take each sip focus on that sip. Focus on the cup in your hand, your hand moving toward your lips, your lips opening to receive the tea, and the tea entering your body. Remain in the moment!

My current tea choice: TOPS CinaMint with a teaspoon of honey
